THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — A Gray man has been arrested in connection with the investigation of a fatal shooting in Thibodaux.

On July 15, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that 56-year-old Vincent Joseph

was shot multiple times in a vehicle and crashed into a tree after driving away from the scene around 6:20 p.m. near Lasseigne Road.

He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Following an investigation, Lafourche Parish detectives said they obtained a warrant for 25-year-old Kayvon Woodside’s arrest on charges of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after identifying him as a suspect in the case.

Woodside was arrested in Terrebonne Parish on Thursday, July 17, and has been transferred to Lafourche Parish. His bail was set for $600,000.
