HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — A Houma woman is being accused of child sex crimes following an investigation by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Special Victims Unit on Thursday night, July 17.
According to the TPSO, around 11 p.m., investigators learned of an alleged sexual encounter that occurred at a local home. On scene, an 8-year-old child reportedly told authorities about the encounter, allegedly perpetrated against them by 18-year-old Heaven Rodrigue.
TPSO officials say that during an interview with Rodrigue, she reportedly admitted to the allegations and was arrested on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile and oral sexual battery.
Rodrigue was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex with bond set by local judges at $150,000.
