Wife of indicted Oakdale police chief charged with malfeasance in office
OAKDALE, La. (KLFY) — The wife of the Oakdale Police Chief is facing charges similar to the crimes for which her husband was arrested yesterday, authorities said.
Alison Doyle, 50, is charged with two counts of malfeasance in office, after an investigation by the Louisiana State Police Criminal Intelligence Unit.

Doyle, a former employee of the City of Oakdale and wife of Oakdale Police Chief Chad Doyle, allegedly conspired with Chandrakant Patel to manipulate the bidding process for two city-owned properties, officials said.
Patel and Chad Doyle were two of the five people arrested yesterday for corruption related to a fake visa scheme for which they were indicted in federal court. Patel is accused of bribery, money laundering, mail fraud and other charges in that federal case.
