Two Louisiana police chiefs were taken into custody Tuesday after the FBI conducted operations in Baton Rouge and the Oakdale area, a source told Nexstar sister station KLFY. The source said Oakdale Police Chief Chad Doyle and Forest Hill Police Chief Glynn Dixon were arrested.
Oakdale is a city in Allen Parish and Forest Hill is a village in Rapides Parish.
A spokesperson from FBI New Orleans said agents conducted court-authorized law enforcement activity in Baton Rouge and Oakdale. The Louisiana State Police said troopers are assisting the FBI, IRS, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in an ongoing investigation in parts of the state.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana confirmed a law enforcement operation is being conducted in the area and involves multiple agencies.
The officials’ press conference will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, in Lafayette.
No further details were released due to the active investigation.
