The sheriff’s office led a multimonth investigation into alleged drug dealers, Cameron Wilkinson, 21, and Ricky Williams Jr., 21. Agents conducted surveillance and controlled purchases in East Baton Rouge and Ascension Parishes.
After conducting search warrants of six locations across both parishes, deputies seized:
- 39.9 grams of THC wax
- 10.69 ounces of marijuana
- 53 dosage units of Alprazolam pills
- 40 dosage units of Oxycodone pills
- 6.81 ounces of powder fentanyl and pills
- 1.62 ounces of powder cocaine
- three digital scales
- plastic bags
- $934
- stolen rifle
- Glock with machine gun conversion device
- five handguns
In an interview, Williams admitted to selling the fentanyl pills under the direction of Wilkinson. Wilkinson confirmed that the fentanyl pills, cocaine, marijuana, Alprazolam, one handgun, and the seized money belonged to him.
Wilkinson was arrested and booked on charges of:
- possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I drugs
- five counts of possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II drugs
- conspiracy to commit possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II drugs
- possession with the intent to distribute Schedule IV drugs
- six counts of possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance
- six counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- possession of a stolen firearm
- possession of a machine gun
- transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses
- two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia
- possession of a Schedule I drug
- possession of a Schedule II drug
Wilkinson was previously convicted on charges of simple battery, illegal use of a weapon, and theft of a firearm in October 2024.
Williams was arrested and booked on charges of:
- two counts of possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II drugs
- four counts of possession of a firearm with controlled dangerous substances
- four counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- possession of a stolen firearm
Williams was previously convicted of aggravated assault upon a peace officer with a firearm, simple robbery and aggravated flight from an officer in December 2023.
