The shooting occurred in the 500 block of Eddie Williams Drive before 9:45 p.m. on July 16.
Investigator Tyler Burnell, with the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, said deputies found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson where he remains in stable condition.
Burnell said the suspects were identified as Erianna Mashaya Garrett, 18, and Ladarius James Harrison, 17, were the suspects.
According to Burnell, Garrett was detained when deputies initially arrived on the scene, and Harrison was located and arrested on Cherry Bark Drive near the Reservoir.
Garrett has been charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, and her bond has been set at $100,000. Harrison was charged with attempted murder and will be prosecuted as an adult. His bond has not been set.
Both suspects are being housed at the Rankin County Adult Detention Center.
