The aunt called 911 for help at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday.
When deputies arrived at the home, they found the aunt suffering from “severe head and facial trauma,” the sheriff’s office said.
“She informed deputies that she was attacked by her nephew, who was also at the scene inside the home,” NCSO wrote.
Parra was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of mayhem, attempted murder, assault, and false imprisonment. He is being held in custody without bail.
