BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of a man who was wanted in connection with the 2023 murder of his girlfriend.
was found dead in November 2023 at the Ivy Park Apartments on Jones Creek Road.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office confirmed Andre Weatherspoon was arrested in Ozark, Alabama.
Weatherspoon was wanted on charges of second-degree murder and battery of a dating partner, according to Capital Region Crime Stoppers. His girlfriend at the time, Tonyetta Loveless,
Weatherspoon will go through the process for extradition at a later date, the sheriff’s office confirmed.
