Local restaurant to host visit from America’s Best Restaurants

BLUEFIELD, VA (WVNS) — A local restaurant will host a visit from America’s Best Restaurants.

According to a press release, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, America’s Best Restaurants will visit Culture Grill & Cantina in the Bluefield area of Tazewell County. The episode’s premiere date will be announced on the America’s Best Restaurants Facebook page and shown on their website.

The press release stated that America’s Best Restaurants, which is a a national media and marketing company, aims to bring attention to local, independently-owned restaurants.

According to the press release, during America’s Best Restaurants visit to Culture Grill & Cantina there will be an on-camera interview about the restaurant’s place in the community with owners Chelsea Raymundo and Matt McCoy, as well as featuring some of the restaurant’s popular dishes.

Dishes that could be shown on the episode may include the birria tacos served with salsa verde, arroz con pollo with queso and served with tortillas, and the wings, according to the press release.

The press release stated that restaurant owners Raymundo and McCoy also run a local food truck, Tacos de Marcos. While the Princeton location of Culture Grill & Cantina opened in spring 2022, it closed the next summer, and the location in Bluefield opened in the fall of 2023.

According to the press release, the restaurant’s menu contains Tex-Mex and Guatemalan dishes such as appetizers, soups, bowls, nachos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas, and also have food and drink specials daily that can be found on the restaurant’s social media.

The press release stated that restaurants chosen for the America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow are chosen from customer reviews, social media presence, level of community involvement, and menu items. Selected restaurants are also picked from internal vetting, restaurants applying on the America’s Best Restaurants website, and through customer nominations.
