SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Shreveport police have arrested two men for the brutal beating of a man at Castlewood Apartments.
Police arrested 53-year-old Reagan Walton and 48-year-old James Caples on Monday, July 14. According to police, the victim involved had been drinking with several individuals before the incident. The victim was assisted into a vehicle at some point, but a violent altercation began after he reportedly caused damage to the car’s interior.
Police say Walton struck the victim multiple times with a closed fist, and Caples then struck the victim repeatedly with a baseball bat.
He was taken to the hospital, where he lost consciousness and had a breathing tube inserted into his windpipe. Further examinations determined that the victim had no serious injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery.
