Fast food chicken restaurant Zaxbys coming soon to Chicago

CHICAGO (WGN) — Zaxbys, the East Coast-based fast food chicken restaurant, is set to make its Chicagoland debut in the coming months.

Zaxbys spokespeople say that as a part of a planned expansion in Illinois, several restaurants are coming to the Chicago area, with site selection currently underway.

The first Zaxbys location is expected to open within the next year.

The Georgia-based fast food restaurant is known for its Chicken Fingerz, salads, wings, and signature sauces.

Zaxbys representatives said the Midwest remains an area for key expansion in 2025, including store openings in Indiana and more.

Founded in 1990, Zaxbys has more than 970 locations in 17 states across the nation.
