WASHINGTON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Two people were killed in a car crash on Tuesday, July 15 in Washington Parish.

According to the Louisiana State Police, 86-year-old Donald Williams and 84-year-old Gwendolyn Williams, both of Bogalusa, were killed.

LSP officials said Donald Williams was driving a 2013 Lincoln MKS on Lees Creek Road toward Highway 21 with Gwendolyn Williams. A 2012 Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound.

According to the LSP, the Lincoln entered the intersection and traveled into the path of the Hyundai, which struck the Lincoln on the right side.

Donald Williams and Gwendolyn Williams both sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital, where they later died.

The driver of the Hyundai suffered moderate injuries and was also transported to a hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
