Shreveport teen accused of stabbing mother multiple times

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A teenager in Shreveport is accused of stabbing her mother multiple times.

The incident happened on Sunday, July 13, in the 2500 block of Hollywood Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a victim who accused her daughter of stabbing her. According to the victim, 19-year-old daughter Trista Schroeder not only stabbed her but also took away a one-year-old whom the victim was the legal guardian of.

Schroeder allegedly stabbed her mother multiple times with a pocketknife while her mother was driving near the intersection of Hollywood Avenue and Hearne Avenue. She reportedly injured her mother’s right arm and struck her in the face several times, all in front of the child, who was safely returned to the victim.

Schroeder was arrested on domestic abuse battery with a dangerous weapon, simple kidnapping, and domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
