Homeowners and renters, including students, in Izard, Stone, Sharp, Independence, Jackson, Lawrence, Randolph, Greene and Hot Spring counties may be eligible for aid through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
FEMA assistance can help cover costs related to home repairs, personal property loss, temporary housing, and damaged essential items such as computers or school materials. Students living in affected areas may also qualify if their property loss occurred in a designated county.
To apply, visit DisasterAssistance.gov, use the FEMA App, or call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362, available daily from 6 to 10. Relay and captioned telephone users should provide FEMA with their specific service number.
In addition, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest disaster loans to homeowners, renters, businesses, and nonprofits. For more information, visit SBA.gov/disaster or call 800-659-2955.
