Thousands of Entergy customers without power in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Thousands of Entergy New Orleans customers were reported to be without power on Monday, July 14.

At the peak of the outage, nearly 7,000 residents were affected by the outages across the city, according to the Entergy Outage Map.

An outage alert was posted by the New Orleans City Council Utilities Committee on X. The cause for the outages was not stated.

Power is estimated to be restored by 2 p.m. in some areas. For a visual of repair progress, visit Entergy’s outage map webpage.

An Entergy New Orleans spokesperson issued the following statement:

Entergy New Orleans is aware of outages currently affecting approximately 5,300 customers. Entergy crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service. Cause is under investigation, believed to be due to storm impacts.
