SUV hits pedestrian in Beloit crosswalk, victim in critical condition

BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by an SUV in Beloit Monday afternoon.

According to the Beloit Police Department, the crash occurred prior to 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Inman Parkway.

Authorities said an SUV, driven by a 43-year-old resident of Janesville, hit the victim, described as an “older adult male” who was in the crosswalk area.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
