According to the Beloit Police Department, the unnamed victim was ejected from the bike at the intersection of Portland Avenue and Moore Street.
Police said the crash happened around 4:50 p.m.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“We send our sincerest condolences to the man’s family and loved ones as they mourn his loss,” police said in a statement.
The driver of the SUV, a woman from Beloit, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
The woman was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, causing death.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the incident.
