A press release states that at 3:59 a.m., the WSPD responded to a reported shooting at Studio 71 on Waughtown Street. When officers arrived, they found evidence that the shooting had happened in the parking lot and on the street in front of the business.
Two victims, a 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, were found suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Tazhae Jamier Woods, 23, arrived at the hospital in a vehicle after leaving the area of the shooting. He later died from his injuries.
A 26-year-old man who was in a car that had been shot into also arrived at the hospital with Woods, but he was not injured.
According to Winston-Salem police, nearly 150-200 people were present when the shooting happened; however, no witnesses have been willing to come forward.
