Pedestrian hit by 2 vehicles in Fresno dies: Fresno PD
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A pedestrian believed to be in his 50s was hit by a vehicle not once, but twice Friday night and died, Fresno police say.

Investigators say just before 11 p.m. they were called to the area of Clinton Avenue, between Marks and Valentine Avenues, for a report of a vehicle versus a pedestrian.

When they arrived, they found the man in the westbound lanes of Marks Avenue.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit and Hit-and-Run detectives were called to the scene to investigate because officers believe there was a span of time where one vehicle hit the man, and then another.

The pedestrian passed away at the scene from his injuries.

Police say the first vehicle didn’t stay at the collision site, but the second did. The driver of the second vehicle was cooperative and showed no signs of intoxication.

Investigators are still combing the area for any evidence and surveillance video they can find.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Fresno Police Department’s non-emergency line at 559-621-7000.
