Fourth suspect arrested in Salem McDonald’s shooting incident

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection to a shooting at a Salem McDonald’s late last month, authorities said.

According to Salem police, a 17-year-old boy was taken into custody on Friday night at an apartment in the 5900 block of Park Court SE. Officers also seized a handgun.

The incident originally occurred the night of June 30, where officers originally responded to the McDonald’s at 5090 Commercial Street SE on reports of a disturbance.

Upon their arrival, police said they found vehicles connected to the disturbance fleeing the scene. They stopped one vehicle, seizing a 9mm handgun and taking the three occupants into custody.

Police said they also found multiple shell casings at the scene.

The three suspects, 20-year-old Rubi Zambrano, 18-year-old Dakoda Clark-Adkins, as well as a 15-year-old, were all arrested on various charges related to the disturbance.

Zambrano and Clark-Adkins were both taken to jail and the 15-year-old was released to a parent.

After the 17-year-old’s arrest, police said he was taken to the Marion County Detention Center on charges of first-degree attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a firearm.

No injuries or significant damage were reported. However, officials are asking anyone in the area who witnessed the incident or who may have damage to property to contact Salem police.

The investigation is ongoing.
