Saturday will see sun and clouds mixing in the morning time and quick-rising temperatures. Most areas will reach the mid 90s before storms develop during the afternoon hours. Feels-like temperatures will be around 105 degrees.
In the tropics, no development is expected through the next week, however, late next week, we will watch a weak front settling in the Gulf. This front could spin up and area of low pressure in the northeastern Gulf. Depending on where, or if, the low forms, it could turn tropical given enough time. For now, an increase in rain chances in the eastern Gulf is most likely regardless of any development.
Locally, storm chances increase Sunday as a disturbance moves through the area. This will trigger widespread activity starting around midday. Heavy rain will be possible at times which could lead to some minor flood concerns. Next week, high pressure and Saharan dust settles in leading to lower rain chances and temperatures in the mid 90s. Feels-like temperatures will be around 105 degrees each afternoon.
