WASHINGTON, La. (KLFY) — A Washington man was arrested after authorities seized drugs, money and firearms, authorities said.

Earlier today, authorities said they executed a search warrant at a residence on W Carrier Street in Washington following reports of animal cruelty. The search resulted in the arrested of Jacoby Deshawn Joubert, 34, of Washington.

According to authorities, the following items were seized: U.S. currency, firearms, marijuana and cocaine.

Joubert was arrested and charged for

• three counts of illegal possesssion of weapons in the prescence of CDS
• three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
• one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana
• two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine
• one count transactions involving drug proceeds

According to authorities, Joubert has a documented history and previous convictions related to animal cruelty.
