“I am honored and humbled to have been elected unopposed to serve as a Rapides Parish District Court judge,” Cespiva said. “I view this not as a personal victory, but as a solemn responsibility to uphold the law with fairness, integrity, and impartiality.”
Cespiva thanked the people of Rapides Parish for their trust and confidence, as well as members of the legal community, law enforcement, and others who work to ensure justice is served daily.
“Though unopposed, I do not take the seat for granted,” he said. “I’m committed to serving with humility, diligence, and a firm respect for the Constitution and the rule of law.”
Cespiva concluded by expressing hope that “through fair but firm justice, we can help make Rapides Parish families safer and our community a better place to live.”
Cespiva’s term will begin in January. The 9th Judicial District Court handles felony and civil matters in Rapides Parish.
