It happened just before 3 p.m. on Friday, July 11, at the intersection of Scottsville Road and Finney Road, per a news release from Kentucky State Police (KSP).
The initial investigation showed that 19-year-old Zachary Raney of Glasgow was driving a black 2008 Yamaha motorcycle heading south on Scottsville Road when troopers said he allegedly crossed the center of the road and into the path of a white 2020 Freightliner driven by Daniel Pere Vega, 53, of Louisville.
Raney was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County deputy coroner. No one else was hurt in the crash, state police said.
The deadly crash investigation remains ongoing.
