19-year-old killed in Barren County motorcycle crash involving Freightliner

GLASGOW, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Glasgow man was killed in a Friday afternoon motorcycle crash involving a Freightliner.

It happened just before 3 p.m. on Friday, July 11, at the intersection of Scottsville Road and Finney Road, per a news release from Kentucky State Police (KSP).

The initial investigation showed that 19-year-old Zachary Raney of Glasgow was driving a black 2008 Yamaha motorcycle heading south on Scottsville Road when troopers said he allegedly crossed the center of the road and into the path of a white 2020 Freightliner driven by Daniel Pere Vega, 53, of Louisville.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Raney was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County deputy coroner. No one else was hurt in the crash, state police said.

The deadly crash investigation remains ongoing.
