BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Franklin woman has died, and two men were taken to different hospitals after a Saturday morning crash in Allen County.
Just after 6 a.m. on June 28, troopers with Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 3 were contacted by deputies in Allen County about a deadly crash at the intersection of Clare Road and Franklin Road.
State police said 72-year-old Carolyn Brandon was driving east on Clare Road in a 2008 Chevy Colorado when she allegedly tried to make a left turn onto Franklin Road, entering the path of a 2020 Toyota Camry driven by 26-year-old Brendan Ploughe, of Scottsville.
Brandon was taken to the Franklin Medical Center, where she was reportedly pronounced dead. Ploughe was taken to Bowling Green Medical Center, and Jonathan Blackman, a passenger in Brandon’s car, was taken to Greenview Hospital. Both men suffered non-life-threatening injuries, per state police.
The deadly crash investigation remains ongoing.
