The improved center inside William R. Davie Park accepts curbside recycling items, as well as most enhanced recycling items. Staff will now be on-site to help residents properly recycle items.
The following items are accepted:
Household waste, scrap metal, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, tires, yard waste, bulk materials, and construction and demolition debris will not be accepted at this center. These items are only accepted at the County’s larger four full-service centers.
The William R. Davie Self-Service Recycling Center is located at 4635 Pineville-Matthews Road in Charlotte. It is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The recycling center is among several improvements underway at William R. Davie Park. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is now accepting survey responses from residents about proposed improvements to the dog park. The survey closes July 18.
