Police: 18-year-old caught driving 50 mph over speed limit in Manassas

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Prince William County police are urging drivers to slow down after an 18-year-old was clocked driving 50 mph over the speed limit in Manassas.

In a post shared on social media, the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said the teen was caught going 100 mph in a 50 mph speed limit on Hoadly Road near Webster’s Way.

He was cited for reckless driving and was summoned to appear in court.

“This speed is reckless & dangerous for the area,” police said on social media.
