BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (KLFY) — A St. Martin Parish woman has been extradited to Louisiana after her arrest in Santa Monica, California in May, authorities said.

Courtney Meche, 47, of Butte La Rose, was arrested May 15 by the Santa Monica Police Department on a fugitive from justice warrant issued by the Breaux Bridge Police Department. The warrant was related to an ongoing investigation involving three counts of felony identity theft, officials said.

Following her arrest, Meche was extradited back to Louisiana with assistance from the Duson Police Department. She was booked into the St. Martin Parish jail on Wednesday on the felony charges.
