The victim has been identified as Jesse Cormier, 45, of Breaux Bridge.
At approximately 11:48 p.m. Thursday, St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting that occurred at a business in the 2200 block of Atchafalaya River Highway in Butte La Rose.
Upon arrival deputies found Cormier dead as a result of a gunshot wound, officials said.
