APD: All lanes back open after crash involving multiple vehicles on I-35

AUSTIN (KXAN) — All lanes are back open after a crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 35 in north Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.

APD said on social media officers responded to the 12700 block of North Interstate 35 southbound for the crash shortly after 9 p.m., which is near Tech Ridge Boulevard. The agency said all southbound lanes were shut down.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), all lanes were closed and shut down at southbound I-35 and Parmer Lane “due to crashes.”

Shortly before 10:30 p.m., TxDOT said on social media all northbound lanes were open.

Around 10:45 p.m., APD said the road closure was reopened, and the scene was no longer active.
