BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Leaders of the Louisiana Democratic Party are set to talk about how Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” signed into law July 4, will impact people and services in the state.
Gov. Jeff Landry called the legislation a “WIN AFTER WIN AFTER WIN for the American people” after it passed.
“The Big Beautiful Bill is anything but beautiful for Louisiana,” said Party Chair Randal Gaines. “It is a cruel, calculated attack on the working class, the elderly, and our children. We are calling out this assault on our values, our economy, and our future—and we will fight back.”
A press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday in Baton Rouge.
