I-55 reopens in Bolingbrook after crash

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — An early-morning crash along I-55 in the southwest suburbs caused some backups for drivers ahead of rush hour on Wednesday.

The crash unfolded in the southbound lanes of I-55, just past I-355 in Bolingbrook.

As of 7 a.m., all southbound lanes of I-55 are blocked due to the crash as crews work to clear the scene. All lanes appeared to have reopened by 11 a.m.

It is unclear what caused the crash.
