Woman killed in crash on Stevenson Expressway in Bolingbrook

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — A woman was killed in a crash early Monday morning on the Stevenson Expressway in Bolingbrook.

The crash happened around 3:20 a.m. on southbound Interstate 55 near Route 53.

According to Illinois State Police, preliminary information indicates that troopers responded to a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a Green Subaru Forester.

ISP says Bolingbrook Fire Department transported the female passenger to a local hospital with injuries, where she was pronounced dead.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

This crash remains under investigation and there is no further information available at this time.
