
Severe weather worries? The chance of scattered storms will return for one more day on Thursday. While we could see some gusty wind, severe weather is looking unlikely.
Tropical worries? Still no signs of any tropical development, probably through the next few weeks. It still appears that we could see a decent plume of Saharan dust arrive on Friday.
10-day WWI: Upper-level high pressure will begin to approach the ArkLaTex from the west on Friday and this weekend. This will likely greatly reduce any hope of rain. As this upper ridge moves over us during the middle of next week. Temperatures will likely soar with daytime highs possibly reaching the triple digits in a few spots. Combine this heat with the typical summer humidity, and the heat index could exceed 105. Minus the scattered storms and heat, our worries will be few.
