Coroner identifies man killed in single-vehicle crash on Cherokee Avenue

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A retired Columbus doctor has been identified as the man killed in a Wednesday afternoon car crash.

Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the man as 84-year-old Gilbert Maulsby.

PREVIOUS COVERAGE: 1 dead after crash near Cherokee Avenue

The Columbus Police Department says Maulsby’s vehicle flipped over into a ditch that was nearly 15 feet deep.

No other injuries or deaths were reported in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
