Texas Roadhouse to open new location in Alabama by end of year

(NEXSTAR) – Suffering from a dearth of Cactus Blossoms and Chicken Critters at your neighborhood eateries?

Maybe not for much longer.

Texas Roadhouse is planning to open 14 new restaurants across 11 states by the end of 2025, a spokesperson for company confirmed to Nexstar this week. Texas Roadhouse Inc. — which is headquartered not in Texas but in Louisville, Kentucky

Texas Roadhouse’s plans to expand operations are consistent with CEO Jerry Morgan’s remarks upon the release of the company’s first-quarter earnings results in May.

“We continue to consistently grow our business through new store development, which included the opening of our 50th Bubba’s 33 restaurant this quarter,” said Morgan, adding that the company planned to “fund our development pipeline, maintain our existing restaurants, and pursue franchise acquisitions.”

For customers, this means new Texas Roadhouse restaurants in the following cities:

Alabama

  • Athens

Florida

  • Kissimmee

Georgia

  • Kingsland

Illinois

  • Mattoon

Michigan

  • Battle Creek

Missouri

  • Branson

New Jersey

  • Marlton

New Mexico

  • Santa Fe

Ohio

  • North Olmstead

Tennessee

  • Antioch

Texas

  • Magnolia
  • New Braunfels

The forthcoming Bubba’s 33 restaurants will be opening in Yuma, Arizona; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Texas Roadhouse had also celebrated a bit of a crowning achievement in May, when a foodservice industry research firm determined that Texas Roadhouse had become the biggest casual dining chain in the country in terms of sales. The restaurant’s sales surged to $5.5 billion in 2024 — or enough to overtake Olive Garden ($5.2 billion), which had held the title of America’s largest casual dining chain since 2018.
