Louisiana State Police enters national best-looking cruiser contest, asks for public to vote
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Louisiana State Police is competing for a national title and asking for help from the public to win it.

The agency sent a photo of its Chevrolet Tahoe patrol unit to the AAST Best-Looking Cruiser Calendar Contest. The competition features patrol vehicles from law enforcement agencies nationwide. The top votes will earn a place in the 2026 AAST wall calendar.

“Our patrol units are among the most recognizable in the nation – representing dedication, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to public safety,” LSP said in a news release.

This year’s Louisiana entry shows a picture of the cruiser with the Mississippi River in New Orleans as the background.

“With the addition of programmable LED technology, the City of New Orleans illuminated the bridge in vibrant blue and gold to highlight our 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe on display – merging tradition, innovation, and the pride of Louisiana into a single powerful image,” LSP said.

Voting for the contest started at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 30, and ends at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11. Supporters can vote at www.statetroopers.org, on AAST’s social media, or the Louisiana State Police Facebook page.

There is no limit to the number of times a person can vote. LSP officials are encouraging residents to vote often and spread the word.

The winner will take the cover spot and the title of “America’s Best-Looking Cruiser.”
