Officials said the crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. when a Ford F350 crossed a railroad track in front of the passenger train. The impact caused the truck to tear into three large pieces, leaving debris along the tracks.
The train came to a stop about 1,700 feet down the track.
Two women who were inside the truck were able to get out after the collision, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
No one on the train was hurt, FCSO noted.
