Dead Tuscaloosa County man found floating in lake

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A Tuscaloosa County man was found dead floating in the lake by his home Sunday.

Cpt. Marty Sellers with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit stated deputies and investigators arrived in the 13000 block of Lake Arnedra Lane, which is by Upper Columbus Road. Deputies found the body of the man, who was 65 years old.

Sellers wrote the man was previously last seen in the early morning going outside. The TVCU does not know what led to the man drowning, but there is no evidence of foul play.

As an investigation has not revealed a criminal act caused the man’s death, the TVCU will not be releasing his identity.
