Arkansas Game and Fish Commission unveils 2025-26 Duck Stamp

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission joined the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Postal Service, Ducks Unlimited and Bass Pro Shops on Wednesday to unveil the 2025-26 Federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp at Mack’s Prairie Wings in Stuttgart.
The stamp, commonly known as the Federal Duck Stamp, features a painting by Adam Grimm of Wallace, South Dakota, who won the 2024 Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest with his depiction of two spectacled eiders. Grimm’s entry was selected from among 239 submissions in the only art competition sponsored by the federal government.

Grimm said he was inspired to paint the rarely seen sea duck species after photographing captive birds during a visit with a friend. The spectacled eider is native to the Bering Sea region, as well as parts of Alaska and Russia.

The stamp is required for hunting most migratory waterfowl and is available for $25 in person and $29 online as an e-stamp. Sales began Wednesday. It may be purchased at license dealers, some post offices, national wildlife refuges, and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission offices and nature centers. Online buyers will receive a receipt valid for hunting and the physical stamp after the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

Since its inception in 1934, Duck Stamp sales have generated more than $1.2 billion, helping conserve over 6 million acres of wetlands on national wildlife refuges across the country. The stamp is also collected by birders and conservation supporters.
