Round Rock 4th of July festival canceled due to rain; Fireworks still scheduled

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — The City of Round Rock has canceled some 4th of July festivities due to the rain.

All activities at the Frontier Days Festival at Old Settlers Park have been canceled, except for the fireworks show, which is still expected to begin at dark. The Sertoma Independence Day Parade will take place rain or shine, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The city has also closed off-road parking lots, but parking on surface lots will remain available.

Music performances will be re-purposed for future events, the city said. The city will post any further updates on its website.
