Rockford man charged with attempted murder in June shooting

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Jose Rodriguez, 25, for allegedly shooting a man several times, severely injuring him.

On June 21, around 6:30 a.m., officers were called to the 2900 block of Cameron Avenue for reports of shots fired.

The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated soon after the incident.

Rodriguez is a registered felon in Winnebago County. He was booked into the Winnebago County Jail on July 3rd.
