1 hospitalized after car breaks Somerset utility pole

SOMERSET, Ky. (FOX 56) — One person was injured on Thursday when a car crashed through a utility pole in Somerset.

The Somerset Fire Department posted on Facebook that crews had been dispatched on Thursday to the 200 block of Highway 80 in response to a single-vehicle injury crash.

At the scene of the crash, crews found that a car had reportedly left the road and crashed through a utility pole, breaking it.

One person was taken to the hospital by emergency personnel, but fire officials did not say what condition they were in.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
