The explosion happened in the 2200 block of Hilltop Climb Drive in the Bluffs at Crystal Falls neighborhood. In a post on social media, Leander Police said they and Leander FD are actively investigating.
Surrounding homes were evacuated “as a precaution,” but in an update Thursday night, police said there is no danger to the public, and residents are clear to return to their homes.
The cause of the explosion is currently unknown, as is the extent of any injuries.
Police are asking people to avoid the area to allow emergency crews to work safely and efficiently.
