Officer-involved shooting leaves one dead in Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) — State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting near the intersection of 12th Street and 7th Avenue in Lake Charles this morning, officials said.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and no officers were harmed during the shooting, deputies said.

This is an active investigation; further information will be released when it becomes available.
