A National Weather Service team was in Berks County for a storm survey and confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in Amity Township, southeast of Reading.
The tornado touched down around 4:47 p.m. and had wind speeds peaking at 70mph.
A rear-flank downdraft, the NWS said, continued northeast toward Boyertown.
Details on property damage and injuries, if any, were not immediately provided.
