BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man accused of dealing drugs in Livingston Parish was arrested on multiple charges.

Deon “Hoggie” Jones, 43, was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center Tuesday.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said a search of a Denham Springs home led to the seizure of cocaine, marijuana, pills and more.

  • 699.6 grams of cocaine
  • 18.1 grams of crack cocaine
  • 5.5 dosage units of lorazepam
  • 4 dosage units of adderall
  • 3 dosage units of MDMA
  • 1 pint of promethazine
  • Glock .40 caliber handgun (reported as stolen through St. Gabriel Police Department)
  • Packaging material/digital scales
  • $10,023 U.S. currency

“Thank you, Livingston Parish. We appreciate you working with us to take illegal narcotics off of our streets and out of the reach of our children,” Sheriff Jason Ard said.

An investigation is ongoing.
