The competitive exhibits will be on display Oct. 8-19, 2025 during the S.C. State Fair, with this year’s theme being “Harvesting Happiness.” These exhibits are made up of 16 categories, showcasing the “best of South Carolina.”
According to the state fair, over $300,000 in premiums will be offered for award-winning exhibits in agriculture, art, home and crafts, flowers, livestock and more.
“Our competitive exhibits are the heart of the South Carolina State Fair and a tradition that has become a true representation of our state,” says Nancy Smith, general manager of the S.C. State Fair. “We’re proud to offer a platform where South Carolinians of all ages can showcase their skills and passions, and we can’t wait to celebrate their incredible work in October.”
New competitions are also being introduced this year, including the South Carolina Slider Showdown, the Eggless Brownie Baking Challenge, the Harvesting Happiness Native Design Contest and the South Carolina Seed Art Contest.
Those interested in entering for the fair’s competitive exhibits can do so at the South Carolina State Fair website.
