Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge Unveils Fresh Menu and Programming Under New Culinary Direction

Dallas (KDAF) — Nestled in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge at HALL Arts Hotel is stepping into a new era of culinary creativity, hospitality, and artistic energy. With a refreshed interior, dynamic programming, and a new menu curated by Executive Chef Brendan Lee Davey, the downtown dining destination invites guests to “taste the world, feel at home.”

“We’ve introduced a menu that’s rooted in local, seasonal ingredients but still feels elevated and approachable,” said Chef Brendan Lee Davey. “It’s thoughtful American-inspired cuisine with a modern twist, crafted for everything from a casual lunch to a refined pre-show dinner.”

Chef Davey, who joined Ellie’s in 2024, brings a global culinary perspective shaped by his time at luxury properties including The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas. 

He describes the new menu as a blend of “comfort and creativity,” with signature items like hamachi ceviche, vegetarian rigatoni with kale pesto, and a grilled harvest salad featuring summer squash, goat cheese, and housemade green goddess dressing. A decadent dessert menu and curated wine pairings, led by the restaurant’s rich HALL Wines program, round out the experience.

Named in honor of Ellie Hall, the late mother of hotel founder Craig Hall, the restaurant reflects her legacy as a teacher, artist, and woman of grace. 

In addition to its new culinary direction, Ellie’s now offers a robust lineup of events and experiences: wine pairing dinners, jazz brunches, curated happy hours with live music, monthly pop-ups, and a convenient to-go menu. Guests can also take advantage of the Pre-Show Prix Fixe three-course dinner, available on performance nights in the Arts District.
