Kaleb Noel Leonard, 18, of Bayou Vista was arrested and charged for over 90 counts of child and animal abuse earlier today, St. Mary Parish Sheriff deputies said.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office task force was given an investigation by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in reference to possession of child sexual abuse material being discovered, deputies said.
After a search warrant was obtained for Leonard on June 18 he was arrested for 13 counts of pornography involving children under the age of 13. Leonard bonded out on a $195,000 bond, deputies said.
As the investigation continued, officials said additional digital evidence was discovered on a allegedly device belonging to Leonard.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Leonard, and later today he was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking with a bail set at $1,935,000.
